This is My Plan for Rochford and Southend East:
Get Brexit done: James campaigned for Brexit in 2016. Boris needs Brexit-supporting MPs like James to get Brexit done.
More police on our streets: James and other local MPs succesfully fought for more funding for Essex Police. As a result, officer numbers in our country are growing and we now have dedicated town centre policing teams in Rochford and Southend.
Investing in local NHS services: In 2015, the NHS saved James’ life. He will fight to make sure that local health services here in Southend and Rochford benefit from the Conservatives’ £33.9 billion NHS cash boost.
Properly funding our schools: Every child deserves access to a world-class education. That’s why average pupil funding across Southend-on-Sea will rise by 2.6% to £4,659 next year.
Faster trains to London and an improved A127: James campaigned to make “Shoeburyness to London in 59 minutes” a reality. He'll continue to work with c2c and Greater Anglia to increase the number of faster trains as well as fight for better infrastructure on the A127.
Dog-friendly beaches in Southend all year round Under current rules, dogs are banned from Southend's beaches during the summer months. Working with councillors, James will campaign for dogs to be allowed on some of our beaches all year round.
