James Duddridge, Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East, has congratulated c2c on their commitment to offer customer services to passengers during staff strikes.
On hearing about the strikes planned for Monday 16th January, James wanted to find out the extent of disruption to the services and was pleasantly surprised to hear that services are expected to run as normal, as the managers of c2c plan to cover the jobs of those who are striking.
James said:
“I am impressed with the reaction of c2c to the threat of strikes. I was worried about the problems that people would have travelling next Monday and am pleased that the managers of c2c are ensuring that passengers get the service that they deserve. Regardless of whether people agree or disagree with the motives behind strikes, it is frustrating to be faced with problems travelling and I am sure that local people will be relieved that they will be able to travel as normal on Monday.”
