JAMES OPENS SOUTHEND'S NEW STATE OF THE ART BARCLAYS

James Duddridge , Member of Parliament for Rochford and Southend East has today officially opened the new look branch of Barclays on the High Street. 

Southend High Street was filled with entertainment in aid of the opening with a band, street entertainers, candyfloss, face painting and fairground games. 

The High Street branch is part of Barclays bank’s investment programme. As well as being kitted out with the high technology equipment, the bank is larger and will offer better service for customers.

Speaking today, James said:

“It was a pleasure to open this new state of the art Barclays which has the highest of technology and additional space which will ensure that local people get really good customer service.”

“I really enjoyed the entertainment that Barclays put on in aid of the opening. I am impressed that not only have the bank involved the local community in the opening today but that local customers were also consulted about the design process.”

“It is great news for the town that Barclays recognise that Southend is worth this investment.”
