Bingo plays an important part in our communities across the country, but sadly, around a third of bingo operators now feel that their future is under threat, and approximately a hundred of Britain's 700 clubs had closed their doors since 2003.

During my last visit to the island I was deeply concerned to learn that training could not be fully completed on three of the last four training exercises undertaken on the island owing to a contractual noise limit of 125 dB which had been put in place in 2003.
